How To Tip

So, you've selected a restaurant, ordered a wonderful meal, had drinks and desert and now it's time to settle up.
Ahhh but what to tip, that is the question.
Knowing how to handle this situation can make any guy look suave and debonair, but blow it, and it's all over buddy!
Generally speaking a proper tip is 15 to 20 percent of your bill, if dining in most restaurants around the USA.
Pay attention to your bill though, because some upper scale establishments automatically include a gratuity right on the bill.
Having said that, keep in mind that tipping is your way of saying "thanks" for a job well done. If you had outstanding service, show your server(s) your appreciation financially. If, on the other hand, the service wasn't so good, you should still tip, but make it appropriate.

Waiter or waitress 15% of bill. 20% If it is a 4 star + restaurant or for large parties.

Headwaiter / maitre d' $20 - $100 or more depending on the occassion, the restaurant, your frequency, and of course, whether you like to be taken good care of or not .

Wine steward 15% of wine bill

Bartender 10-15% of bar bill
